I've someone coming to buy my car this eve, & in case he tries to pay me with a credit union cheque, I want to know the following:-

If the credit union cheque has been made out in his name, can I accept it & lodge it if he signs the back of it?

    Thanks for your help.

He's coming a long distance, so I want to make sure he doesn't have a wasted trip by advising him early in advance.

Remember doing that once before, & the Credit Union couldn't give me a definite answer. (Useful, eh???)

Anyway, it's a false alarm, found out he's paying by a different method.

    Thanks.
