    Just for fun....
Would it be possible to make €5000 in 2 months?
i have 1000 at the mo to play with - i already work nine to five, and my wages barely cover my very basic lifestyle, so saving it isn't an option.

anyone have any crazy money making ideas or stories?

i was thinking of gambling - perhaps 10 bets of 100 on favorites in horse racing, depending on my chances, i could make slightly more than my original 1000. riiiiight?

or, i could buy stuff on ebay and sell it again repeatedly til i hit my target. no?

OR, i could paint lots, (i can't paint. or draw) and have an exhibition and try to sell it all? heh.

or root through my attic and sell every stupid thing i have.
although, i'm fairly certain i'll have nothing interesting.

    any ideas?

Now - Think of how many paperclips you can buy with your €1007.

Pighead is a jammy bastard with the gambling, he'll give you a few tips to make money, I'll ask him now. Of course, the magic doesn't work if *I* put money on anything! ;)

Sounds like a fun challenge though, good luck with it!

If you want to make more money, you can start by budgetting.

How much do you spend on nights out?
    On useless items like games.
Do you buy your lunches or make a packed lunch?
Do you buy soda instead of just drinking water?

If you change your lifestyle you can pull back some of the money you are throwing away. For example I used to spend 12 euros a day on brekky/lunch, now that I make it beforehand I spend 2 euros a day. Thats 200 euros a month.

Not really in the spirit of thread but alas it's totally true.

But this is so much more fun

You could sleep with 500 chicks for €10 each. Or you could sleep with 10 really fat chicks for €500 each.

I can't believe I'm the first to post this :)

Fat people need love too, they just gotta pay!

Anyway, €50 on a 100/1 bet, then with the €957 left over go on a wild adventure to ensure that horse/team/whatever wins.

Simple back three No. 6 dogs in races where they are favorites in both racing post and on screen in the shop .
At odds no less than 3/1
    place 3 * 10 euro singles and a 10 euro treble
if one wins you get all your money back 3/1 * 10 +stake = 40
    if 3 win it's 40 * 3/1 + stake = 160 * 3/1 + stake = 640
Now add your three single bets too and you get a total of 760 euro
for 40 ... repeat a few times and your laughin
you never loose provided one wins :D

    that's why i'm super rich :D

Closest to the inside of the track, no need to cross the other dogs on the turns.

yeah, i went into the bookies, and i had no idea what was going on.
    hmmn.

gambling may be more complicated than i thought. especially on dogs.
football bets i can understand, but gambling on dogs, no. :(

Betting is specifically designed so that, on average over time, the average person will lose a certain percentage, from 5% (e.g. Betfair, open about it as commission) -20% (most other bookies.) Bookies would not be profitable if it were otherwise; think about it, they have all their infrastructure, advertising, etc. to support _and_ still have to make a profit, where do you think it comes from.

Having said that, I did make €140 from the World Cup, betting on 90 minute draws between evenly matched teams. (Free €20 stake, wouldn't have done so otherwise.)

Dear Sir, I am Prince Kufour Otumfuo the elder son of the late King Otumfuo Opoku ware II whose demise occur following a brief illness. Before the death of my father, King Otumfuo Opoku ware II, I was authorised and officially known as the next successor and beneficiary of my father's property according to African Traditional rite.

Most of my father's wealth includes Gold and Diamond worth the following qualities.

    (1) 99kg alluvial gold dust Best quality GEM/Servce 100

    (2) 22 karat Quantity 3000 S.A

    (3) 9.0 purity Colour : Brown (unpolished) Size: 3/8 carats

As a result of polygamous family, there has been a dead luck over the issue of division of my father's property between members of my family and community as a whole. In conjunction with this, the thrown which is only left to me as the eldest man in the family is been battled by the member of the twenty one hamlet that made up of Ashanti kingdom.

This ugly situation made me to secretly move the gold dust having the above mentioned qualities into a security and finance firm with the assistance of my uncle whom serves as a secretary to Ashanti council of elders.

If you are interested to buy it just contact me or just look for a buyer for me.

I have promise to run the deal with you, base in the degree of sincerity and trust in you. Having receive your reply, I will feed you with the relevant information covering the consignment.

Note, I and my mother hoped heavily on this transaction. Please reach me through my e-mail address m_gambo@onebox.com to avoid much publicity.

    Thanks. Yours faithfully,

Thats a rough example of Nigerian emails sent from Nigeria, there's millions sent each month and out of those millions they want the stupid people who actually reply and give their bank details.

People if you see them just delete them they're a scam. The Nigerian government has put out ads trying to dissuade people from replying to these emails in newspapers and magazines.
