is 360 just an expensive dvd player

is it just me or is the xbox 360 just an expensive dvd player? got one months ago but hav hardly touched it except to watch the odd dvd. any game ive gotten for it is pretty poor with the exception of call of duty. theres only been the same handfull of games out all this time as well. is it a lack of quality in the games out and the slowness in the arrival of new games which is leaving the 360 nothing more then a really fancy dvd player?

360 has actually had more games than most new consoles since launch. When the PS2 launched, there was no really great game until Grand Theft Auto arrived about nine months later.

The 360 has already had the likes of PGR 3, GRAW, Oblivion, Hitman: Blood Money, Table Tennis and Fight Night which are all good games in their own right.

Not to mention titles like Draed Rising, Gears Of War, Splinter Cell: Double Agent and Rainbow Six Vegas which all look promising and will be released before Xmas.

Well thank your lucky stars your one is actually working. I only wish I could even play a DVD on mine.

I dont touch mine for dvds. well the last 2 i had didnt play them too well at all. i didn't try this one yet. might give it a go later.

johnnysmack do you have Broadband and live? , as that totally transforms all games. I rarely play a game single player, always on live.

I can't even play DVDs on mine, comes up with lots of lines across the screen.
Thought it might have been down to using PAL60 but get it on PAL50 too.
Normal Xbox works fine.
