Ok, so I am going for a job tomorrow (Monday). I am only 16, do I have to get paid minimum wage like everyone else? I was talking to a mate who got a job in Mc Donald's and is working for €6 an hour.

nope if you're under 18 they don't have to pay you minimum wage,as you saw from your friend.

    From oasis.gov.ie
The Minimum Wage Act provides the following sub-minimum rates.

An employee who is under 18 is entitled to 5.36 euro per hour (this is 70% of the minimum wage

Also, see here for the rights of young people in employment
