It sounded more like a Normandy invasion on Bray Seafront..

There seems to be some sort of fireworks in the peoples park beside Superquin - lots of bangs.

It is a bit late to be any sort of official fireworks so must be some private celebrations.

Dogs would pick this up a lot quicker than human hearing

Fireworks crossed my mind.. but festival + Bray + sh!te weather just didn't add up.

World Cup related maybe, a pre run for tomorrow by whichever side?

Serious amount of car horns and fireworks (or mafiosi firing their guns in the air) after the second Italian goal against Germany the other night here in Blanch.

Probably something to do with heroin anyway.

Why don't you actually go out of your house and investigate?

This just in - we don't all live in Bray (praise the good Lord).

I was waiting for the toffy-nosed brat to point me to the Dublin forum. Yes, there is no Wicklow forum.

    Me neither.

You're being ironic aren't you...or is it sarcasm, I can never remember which.

You gotta laugh. Bray Festival is held in mid July every year. Every year from 1980 till 1994 it rained July Festival week. Every year from 1996 till 2005 it rained July festival week. In 1995 however they got clever and moved the Festival to mid September to avoid the July rain. Needless to say the 1995 unparalleled three and a half months of sunshine and blue skies ended............on september Festival week!

Honestly, who needs super computers and satellites to forecast the weather.

Kids are studying for the Junior Cert and Leaving...Outlook is sunshine
Kids are doing the Junior and Leaving...Outlook is more sunshine
Kids are finished exams...Outlook is rain
    Wimbledon is on...Outlook is rain
    Oxegen is on...Outlook is rain
Bray Festival is on...outlook is rain
Stuck in the office...Outlook is Sunshine
Finished in the office...Weather takes a turn for the worse

    etc
    etc
