I'd have to admire him for the way he found a niche as the mainstay
alternative/indie radio DJ in Ireland and possibly by accident at the
time when Fanning was going more mainstream and focussing more
on becoming a casual critic of popular culture (films, TV, pop, rock,
    etc).

I have the same problem about T Dunne's Mid Atlantic meets
Dart meets godnows what kind of estuary Americo-Celtic twang.
Its possible that his Doctor Bill impersonation is closer to his
native D12 roots than Wesley disco meets Beverly Hills 90210
meets Radio Luxembourg or Smashy/Nicey DJ schmaltz.

It might be Galaxy smooth chocolate but it is too sacharrine
for my overly fussy tastes. His lyrical diction for Something Happens
was definitely more than a tad West of the cliffs of Moher
but I'd forgive him that because they were an entertaining
band to see live when they were around.

Memorable voice over for me must be February 2005 with:

(apologies to TomD for the parody!...)
"Sallabraight the Choinese new year with instant Kno-aarh noodles with
    authantic Choinese floy-vurs..."
(cringe .... I'm not sure if there was more monosodium glutamate in the
commercial than there was/is in the product he was advertising)

or the famous "Bud Roising" advert with Tom's drawl fading in and out
over a cacophony of drum'n base and other contemporary gunk!
Fair play to him for getting the advert voice over gigs. I imagine
they are quite lucrative and by all accounts he is one of the most
friendly, witty and affable folks in the radio/entertainment industry
    in Ireland today.

    :)

You've just summed up everything that was in my mind but couldn't get out in writing, quite fantastic ifconfig, well done.

By the way just like Tom Dunne I'm from D12 and I know he's a lovely guy but for God's sake Tom get back to your Walkinstown accent buddy!

What about the adverts on the radio. It's the same person with the most poncy accent and voice I've ever heard!
