Anyone know what these are?

OK have been looking at a few martial arts clips and have noticed that in some of the demos the athletes have little lights on there feet which light up when the foot makes inpact with a target, they are purley for showmanship,
Does anyone know the proper name of these things?

Just special effects they made for the video. The guy's not wearing any headgear when he headbutts the bricks and there is still flashes.

Its special effects placed over the video, purely for the video, they aren't wearing anything that makes em flash! The flash was added afterwards.... any intelligent person would see that was obvious!!! LOL

I have a degree in Computer programming and I am half way through another degree in Science.
I have also trainned in martial arts for 9 years hold two black belts.
Your comment just show's your ignorance. This is a public forum I would say one of it's main purposes is to ask questions and further ones knowledge.
