I booked a package holiday today. Decided on Ayia Napa. Staying in Panas Village. Has anyone been? What's the good, bad ugly? I've looked at some reviews on google n whatnot and I'm realy excited about the place. Almost everybody rated it quiet high

It's expensive IMO compared to many other similar destinations.

Went to Ayia Napa 2 summers ago with the Girlfriend and yes it is a bit more expensive than other resorts I've been to. As far as good places to go I cant rememeber any in particular but the whole place is full of nightclubs/pubs so there'll be no shortage of somewhere to drink. Actually I vaguely remember going to a nightclub called the 'Carwash' which was good craic.

Actually I vaguely remember going to a nightclub called the 'Carwash' which was good craic.

The Carwash is pretty cheesy ("ghostbusters" music played regularly etc), but great fun once you know what to expect. I think there was a club called the Castle (or something similar), which seemed pretty big, with lots of different levels. I was pretty wasted though, so could have been in a skip for all I know.

Overall, it's a nice resort with something for everyone. It is expensive though, didn't seem to spend much less money than a night out in Dublin.

Make sure you hit Nissi beach; one of the nicest beaches around - featured in the top 10 beaches of the world in some travel mag a couple of years ago.

The boat trips up to the Occupied part aren't bad if you're at a loose end during the day; lots of beer on board too.
