    Convertibles have a limited market in Ireland (though it is increasing these days due to the Celtic Tiger, etc), car hire companies don't hold many of them if any as demand is pretty poor. Just no money in it for them my guess.

    You could try ringing the major car rental companies and ask I suppose.

    I reckon you'll be doing well to find one. Neither AVIS nor Enterprise do them. You may need to find a specialist rental company. Dig out the Golden Pages or maybe see if a main dealer will rent you one.

    You could be real cheeky and ask for a 'weekend' test drive but I don't fancy your chances, tbh.

    My friiends family rented a Boxster and a XK8 convertible before. I think there's a guy in Dublin who does it.
