They are on sale in the employees 'US' shop in the US Embassy, so if you know anyone who works in there they'll be able to get you a box out.

Don't like them at all, far too much sugar. You could try ebay, I found multiple matches for them there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,566 ✭✭✭GrumPy

The Epicurean Foodhall is a bunch of restaurants. They don't sell anything like that there. Try Selfridges if your visiting England. They do them. We have 2 boxes atm.

Try Tesco Merrion. They cater for the Embassy catchment area.

Fallon & Byrne sell them in Exchequer Street in Dublin, next to the Coco Pops. A nice food hall place that opened (relatively? I've been away.) recently. They were sold out the last time I was in there but the SEL is there...

Yeah, that's why they're banned here. To help prevent hate crimes against leprechauns. It used to be a big problem in the late 80s. :(

They also give Americans (ones I have met) the false illusion that "Yill never get me lucky charms", is an "Irish catchphrase".

Yeah, the leprechaun version of the trinity is a bit of a head-scratcher. That's why there's been a strong element of anti-leprechaunism in the Church since the Synod of Cashel, at least. :(

Lol, I know what you mean, and they dont even sell the damn things over here :( If an american even says "Oh your from Ireland? you watch sheep, chase pots a gold and eat lucky charms all day right?"

I'd think I'd have to take them down, take them down HARD.

yeah, I've gotten a box or two here in Canada... it was lovely. Canadians were well shocked to hear we didn't get them in Ireland. Must bring a box or ten hundred home with me.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,730 ✭✭✭✭simu

Now what do you want in return?
We have these cool things called gingers in abundance here, I would gladly send you some.

Good God, I've never tried them but I'm gasping for them now! Are they really that good?
I'm not totally sure but have you tried Aldi or Lidl - they have all kinds of foreign lovliness that might be similar if not the same?

This site is a bit expensive but if you are looking for American food products try www.skyco.uk.com If you know of someone in the North you could have it shipped there as the shipping is cheaper. I am American and am 7 months pregnant and am dying for root beer and Cap N' Crunch. I am seriously considering placing an order with them.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 36,634 ✭✭✭✭Ruu_Old

OP send me a PM and I'll try and sort you out, shipping might be expensive but lets see what we can do. :)

Make online friends with an American soldier in Afghanistan or Iraq. Have him throw some boxes at you in Shannon.

My first morning in Ft Knox at Basic, a couple of the other recruits came up to me...

"Hey, Moran! They have Lucky Charms downstairs for you"
    "They have what?!"
    "Lucky Charms!"
"What the feck are Lucky Charms?"
"What? Don't they have Lucky Charms in Ireland?"
"Not that I know of. What are they?"
    "Breakfast cereal!"
    "Oh."

    NTM
