    Expensive enough for say a 1ds mk2 and a 70-200L. Add in a 580ex and your talking bout 350for a single day.

Conn's rental prices are steep, but the stuff is good. What they also do is that if you buy what you rented, they will give your the renal price off the list price.

I bought my 17-40 f4 from them. I was'nt sure I wanted one, (I knew I wanted wide but just not what lens). So I rented for a weekend, fell in love with it and wanted to buy it. They took the rental price off list, took back the rental and gave me a new one.

I know they are a pricey shop, but things like that mean more to me than saving a few euro.

They base their rentals on X euro for each thousand euro's value of equipment.

    Merv.

Yeah but do you have to pay that price for each item?
Or if you total amounf of rental equipment is X thousand ueuro u pay Y price?

Thats very interesting.I didn't know it was possible to rent a lens.if it wasn't too dear it might be a good way of sussing out if a certain lens would do what you wanted or be as sharp as you might expect.

Any of the gear I've ever seen anybody rent was always fairly battered. You may not get a good idea of quality from a scratched up, knocked about lens. Far from cheap either, I wonder does that cost include insurance or would you be liable if you made a balls of whatever you hired?
