    I found this yesterday and had to go back for a photo! Some kind of Fungus or a Mushroom or something?? Nice shape to it, it kind of looks like a huge butterfly as you approch it.

    Its a type of fungus, probably: Chicken of the Woods or Sulphur Shelf (Laetiporus sulphureus)

    Some of the funniest returns I've seen, v good.
    I think its called a Dryads Saddle. I dont think it will kill you (if you eat it for all those just about to start typing) but I dont think it would be any good.

    Definitely a some kind of bracket fungus but almost impossible to correctly identify the species without seeing the spores through a microscope.

    Who dug this thread up? I'm sure the fungus has evolved some what since that photo was taken back in July.
