Home Entertainment System

Moving into a new house shortly, and thinking of ways to set up a home entertainment system.

I don't have much knowledge of this, so I'm looking for your advice.
    This is the plan:
Xbox 360 with wireless connection to
PC upstairs with MP3s movies etc on harddrive
Hooked into TV and then some sort of surround system.

The above is very vague, and I'm looking to know exactly what I need.

No, none of the items have been bought yet.

Well the best way to do it (if you are hell-bent on using an XB360) would be by using MCE on the PC.

Just bear in mind that you will need to install software on the PC to allow it to transcode the video to the correct codec\compression for the XB360. IE playing your Xvid\DivX is not so streightforward.
