If you don't mind me asking, why does the doctor have to be female?

Don't mind at all - I have just moved to the area and my partner needed to go to the doctor and she is more comfortable with female doctors.

You've probably found a doctor at this stage but just for the record I know there's a doctor's surgery on the main road going from Superquinn to Howth Village, right across the road from the small Methodist Church and I'm fairly positive that there's a female doctor there.

There's also a doctor above the Chemist in Howth village but that's definatly a male doctor.
