ok, just about to order one of these babies but the 1 on overclockers says it has 1MB of L2 Cache

    http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Socket_939_X2.html#acp_2d174_2dam

Is there a 1MB cache version of this chip or have overclockers just got the description wrong. As you will see on the site, there is a retail version aswell which is €80 more expensive but still says 1MB of cache. Anyone able to clear this up for me?

    Thanks!

    1MB per core.

Total 2MB - I have the same chip. Tis nice - decent overclocker too - you'll get it to 2.5 on stock if your case has decent airflow..

And thats a savage price btw. The OEM is over 120 euro cheaper than the retail on Komplett - and you'd be wanting a better cooler anyways... Great great deal.

It'll also be disappearing off the market soon, as AMD realigns to 512k cache per core, and then adds L3 shared cache in 6-9 months time.
