Something i have been thinking about of late.... what cars, if any could be driven daily and actually go up in price ? maybe the driven daily might be a killer for a clasic, but say keep it to 5k a year....ish....

none i would imagine if you're talking short term.

however if you kept a car for 50 years or something you might make a tidy profit :)

None. Mini's seem to depreciate very gently however.

How about something like an older Mercedes SL or Porsche 911? Although the upkeep would probably cost more than the capital appreciation.

Car values go in a steep dive, platau out and then a few appricate but not many really. Go for limited/small prodcution cars which have cult status and a 'wow' factor.

problem is, anyone who knows that they have a car that appreciates in value won't really wanna sell it. restoring a potentially valuable heap of junk is probably the best way!

cars will rarely sell higher than their original cost but some classics can be bought cheap and then sold on for a profit. As said already cars with cult following or wow factors would be your best shot. VW's especially are cars in demand at the moment.

Cars like MK1 & 2 GTIs and G60 and VR6 Corrados are all increasing rapidly in value especially if they are in original condition.
