Evp?!?!?!?

Just reading through one of the threads on the forum and i remembered an incident that happened myself when i was about 14/15.

I was trying to copy a cassette tape on my setero and it has two tape decks, so i put the two tapes in and pressed play and record and left it away.
I came back later when it was finished and took the copied tape and played it to make sure it copied ok, i was freaked to find that what was on the tape was a very loud, what almosted sounded like a male voice shouting and giving out. I pressed stop straight away as i was freaked to bits, my dad heard it as he was upstairs aswell and came in to see what was going on and i explained it to him, he just shroughed it off (cant remeber what he said).

- This bit prob has no relavance.
Then a few monthes later i started getting a smell in my room from the wardrobe and it got so bad i wasn't aloud sleep in that room and then a few monthes after this happened we moved house.

Whats yous think?

There are some possibilities.
1. You recorded a bone fide occurrence of EVP.
2. You recorded someone in your house or next door, or outside, shouting, without realising it.
3. If you had it turned up really loud you could be hearing whats on the reverse of the tape. It would be pretty indecipherable as it would be backward.

I really wish you still had the tape, which is the only way to get some idea which possibility is the answer!

Oh, and could the smell have been a dead mouse or something? We used to get that, those little guys STINK.

Thats where the problem comes, its about 6/7 years ago and i havent a clue if i have the tape or if it even still exists!

The volume was very low thats one of the reasons i was so freaked out.

I know it was prob. explainable, its just cause i heard stories of people getting smells of rotten food and the like and then encountering apperitions or bumps in the night.

Thats entirely possible, but in the absence of other evidence, my gut instinct is always to look for the most likely (and logical) cause.:) Like most other things that get posted here, tis frustrating that we have no way of finding out what may have actually been going on.
