right, i've been doing web design for 9 years now.

i'm in my current job 6 and a half years, which pays v well.

i'm able to take unpaid leave for up to a year.

i'd like to get out of dublin, and try something new.

i've family and friends in london, so, have thought about maybe moving there for a while, to see how it goes, and moving on, if i don't like it.

thing is, i'd like to do somthing completly different, i'm not too concerned about money, just a cool and interesting job.

i'm racking my brains, so that's why i'm here, i'm looking for some cool suggestions, maybe somthing you've done yourself?

like, working in the zoo, or even male model :D joking.

    please inspire me :D:D

There is a very cool web design community in London, maybe you could just do with a change of scenery.

if its a case that i need to work to live, then so be it, and, yes the change of scenery will be good.

    have you worked in london?

You could try doing extra work on a movie. It pays crap (around €100 per day for a 12 hour day) and it can be really tedious waiting around to go on set. But once you get to actually do something its really cool! and you get to meet some famous people if its a big blockbuster (they film loads of them in ireland). I also met some really cool people from all walks of life that I would never meet in my regular job.

I did it for a while a few years back. I bought the dvds of the 2 movies I am in and if i pause in just the right spot I can see myself!!! Its cool! I also got to do a ad for Bord Failte which I have never seen, I presume its shown abroad.

    I've an idea for you....

Why don't you go and work in India for a year? In the IT business I mean. There's a crowd in Dublin (AIESEC) facilitating it, they organise everything for you (get someone to meet you at the airport, help find you a place to live.) and charge a modest fee. I can send you the contact info if you're interested.

India would blow your mind and you'd get some relevant work experience.
