MTV treats Dublin to a rather tasty quadruple bill.

Aussie Afro merchants Wolfmother and Leeds post-punk funkers ¡Forward, Russia! share headline duties on November 6 when MTV’s Spanking New Music Tour stops-off at the Dublin Olympia.

Completing the line-up are London-via-Brighton rockers The Maccabees and indie electronica outfit Fields.

I'd say tickets will be appearing here:

    Definatly there!

Damn, its a Monday and I shall be going to Muse on the 3rd and maybe Motorhead on 31st October, and as I shall be in 6th year, my parents wont let me go to gigs during term time, so it'll be a miss. But if its on the 4th its a possibility

Forward Russia are cool, but I'm not that big a Wolfmother fan... It'll probably be a fairly decent gig though.

Forward Russia were excellent at Oxegen. Lots of energy and Id almost go to this for them. Not pushed on Wolfmother after seeing them in Roskilde but it could have been the huge Australian contingent determined to make sure everyone knew the band was Australian that put me off.

what happened to the drummer at forward russia? half way through nine she stopped and was holding her head, and when the song finished it looked like she collapsed onto the drums and they finished it there!

One of my mates thought something from the rig above her might have fell on her head but Tom came out after the gig and said she just wasn't feeling very well. It's a real shame. I would've loved another 2 or 3 songs. Forward Russia are absolutely class!

I wasnt watching the drummer so didnt notice that. Thought it was odd they cut the set short but everything on the New band stage had been running a bit shorter than advertised so didnt think too much of it.
