    Hey all,

Its my first time going to oxegen and was wondering whats the story with drink?, Do they take anything off you heading in, or any rules like no glass bottles or anything?. Or do you have to buy over priced warm beer in there?

    from the website
Alcoholic drink will be available from the bars at the festival, you must be over 18 to purchase alcohol. Remember Don't become dehydrated due to depletion of fluids, alcohol does have a dehydrating affect and it's a long day. Pace yourself * and keep hydrated with soft drinks or water. Watch your fluid intake and carry some water around with you. Bottles of water and minerals are priced €2. Pints of Heineken are priced €5. Further price updates will be on OXEGEN.ie very soon.

Please note you are required to present Garda ID or your passport in order to purchase alcohol at OXEGEN.

Terms of our licence means we can't allow you to bring in any containers of fluid into the arena which may contain alcohol. No full or partially full containers! You can bring in unopened or empty plastic water bottles though keep topping it up at the standpipes.

You can bring in whatever drink you want (to the campsite) providing its not in glass bottles etc.

You can get pitns in there too but they are overpriced and generally watered down

My mate bought a load of bottles of budweiser, glass bottles i might add, and when he found out that he couldn't bring them with us we just drank the lot!! A good time was had by all!!!:D :D

The only thing i'm thinking about is, how annoying is it going to be hauling around a load of bottles full of, liquid shall we say!

thats one thing i've been wondering about haha, gonna have to strap anything of importance to me.

Even for nights out my key is night-club proof, i.e tied to the inside pocket of my jacket haha

One of these might just be inorder to try and smuggle your favourite brew past security.

    Beer belly

Myself I'll just wait for next years Glasto where they have no such restrictions on what drinks you take in with you, as long as it's not in glass.

they dont water down pints, espicially not pints from a keg of heineken at a heineken sponsered gig.

they may not taste the best though.
