You are in the BB, blinds 150/300. Average stacked, no monster stacks on table. Last 3 tables of 50 double chance.

UTG Raises 3bb (often raising oop, weak PP, weak aces, not a hope of staying at the table much longer often checks flop after raising)

MP smooth-calls (recently lost large pot betting Q high flop, turn and river with JJ, but otherwise seems fairly solid)

I auto-folded here - with a shaky Q9s, but thinking this through, getting 3.5-1 on a call, is there any value in a smooth call here - What is your range for calling in this position and the plan for the flop out of position?

can't remember tbh but if I lost the JJ hand to a tasty polish chick who called pre-flop raises and smooth called flop turn and river bets, then I'm your man!!

    she had pocket Kings :(

    and a pretty smile :)

    Your stack size is important...

push if you want to play and you have enough to get them to fold and you have an image ofa rather tight player.

I would definitely turn up to the Emporium if there wer 10 or so salmon colour wearing people there. Obviously I would have no chance against the combined might of salmon, but it would be worth the entry fee.

trick is to bring your own in a shoulder bag and throw it on if 8 or more are wearing. but it doesnt have the be a jumper, a t-shirt of similar colour would still hold the power..me thinks

I've been rummaging through various bargain basements and charity shops but it appears salmon coloured jumpers went out with Chief Brodys movie career in the 80s.

However, if there's a prop bet going i'll definitely find one.

    Offers?

    talk about thread hijack.....

Start a new thread willya for salmon related prop bets, I beleive the fish forum is open now...(pun)

Looking for calling range - I think QQ+ is a given push, whats a calling range here??

    As I said - average - 20-30BB

I think you said average, rather than specifying the number of BBs. Personally, i don't like calling off 10%-16% of my stack with Q9s.

That is unless I have a salmon coloured jumper and can feel the spades being sent from up above.

Comic genius yesterday. Chief called a pfr.

    Flop 336.

Chief goes all-in. Guy calls with 88. 8 on the turn. Chief then starts moaning as if he's just suffered a horrendous beat. Nearly wet myself laughing.

when i say push here im not saying it for the strenght of your hand.im suggeting a squeez play and hoping to get them to fold.you really only have the first raiser to worry about as if he folds then the second one will prob fold as well.

Sooooooo.......trying desperately to get you to actually read the OP.......what is your calling range??

MadSL, i'm generally raising or folding. I don't like flat calling oop.

If you think either player is raising loosely then a squeeze play could work in this spot.

I dont like flatcalling here either, just trying perhaps hypothetically to think if there is a hand I will flatcall with...mid PP perhaps for set value?

Squeezeplay is fine, but I think we have to assume that we are up against players who will drop their hand. I've been caught horribly with a squeezeplay in the past - guys calling my all-in with A7o etc - you just shake your head...
