Surprised this has not been posted yet. Interested to see what the Liverpool fans think about there latest signing, especially due to the fact than many were unsure about his off the field antics
    Footballer Craig Bellamy charged

Liverpool and Wales footballer Craig Bellamy has been charged by police with assaulting a 19-year-old woman in a Cardiff nightclub.

The striker, who recently joined Liverpool from Blackburn for £6m, was arrested in March after an alleged incident at the Number 10 nightclub.

Police confirmed the player had been charged after consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service.

No court date has yet been set for Bellamy to answer the charges.

Another man was also arrested in connection with the allegation, but police said no action had yet been taken against him.

Bellamy's agent Steve Horner said he "had nothing to say" in connection with the alleged assault.

It'll be thrown out of court anyway I'd imagine. Most of these cases are.

That is probably because of the amount of similar stories that have surfaced in the last few years which have all turned out to be untrue /inaccurate. Without knowing the full circumstances surronding the alledged assault how can anyone form an opinion on what happened or Bellamy's innocense or guilt?

Personally speaking I come here to read about football not about problems footballers may have in their private life though I do undestand that there can be implications on clubs from players private life.

I endorse this remark - though I haven't always been an admirer of his football.

good low expectations = high returns.

This should be enough to let him know its not on, get his head in order and get his kicks scoring 20+ this season for Liverpool.
