new hard disc

    I ve just installed a new samsung 40 gig hd,my old one gave up the fight ,just wondering what type of boot disc do i need to get it going(where do i get it) and is there anything else i need to do?:

    PC should detect it automatically (I'm assuming it's an IDE drive if it's only 40Gb), no need for drivers.

    Once installed, boot up with the Windows XP CD and install it as normal. You might have to change the boot order in the BIOS so that the CD boots ahead of the HD.

    XP install will allow you to format, partition etc.
