Speaking Of Waitresses...

Any one ever noticed that the waitresses seem to cater to the men in hopes of getting a bigger tip?

I find this totally silly behavior since I believe that when a couple is dining out, it is usualy the woman who calculates the tip. And the more the waitress flirts with my man and ignores me, forgetting my soup and things such as that, the smaller her tip becomes!

Opinions? Am I wrong????

L4L, most of the waitress;s are probable "asuming" thats its the man going to pay the bill. pathetic really but there ya go.

Waitress should just forget the flirting, and concentrate on providing a good service leading to a better tip.

Ireland isn't really a tipping nation. Waiting staff get a decent enough basic wage and don't need to rely on tips.

So to answer your question...no.

So someone who works in the service industry is assuming ....would there assumption be based on experience?

As sane and sensible as that is, I know a few people at this stage who'd give you grief for not tipping, or even not tipping enough. From my experience, it's usually women normally doing this, though that's probably just my circle of friends.

If I was given grief over not tipping, the party in question would be told in no uncertain terms exactly what to do with themselves. Were I a tipping person, an attractive girl would not get an exra cent from me.
