I've done something really stupid. Was trying to set up a home network and was adding my laptop that i use in work to it. I was in some network wizard and i selected an option along the lines of "This p.c. will be connected to a home network and not a buisness network" Then it said to restart for changes to take effect.
Rebooted and now i cant log in at all!!! i used to log into it using my work username\password but thats not working at all, presumably because that was associated with the work network domain that the laptop is no longer associated with.
Tried "Administrator" but can remember the password for that as my own i.d. had full sys admin priveledges and never needed to log in as admin.
Cant even get in to safe mode. Is there anything i can do????

I was going to post a question about connecting a work laptop to a home network but decided to have a look and see if i could do it myself 1st. :(

    /edit
Thank fook i managed to remember the local Administrator password *phew*
Is there any way to change the Network properties so that it goes back to the old domain and my own userename\password work without actually having to connect to the work domain again?

System restore would do it, or reset it up manually.

Actually managed to make a VPN connection to the work network and only then would it successfully change the domain. Still cant log in with my own work username password as it seems the localy stored password for when the laptop is disconnected has been erased.
Will a system resore fix that? Never doen one before. Or is there a way i can get the laptop to auto conect to the VPN and then log in?
