I had a problem a few weeks ago where my RAM was faulty (link is here) where , so I ordered some new RAM from komplett along with a NorthQ 500W Silent PSU.

Yesterday, I installed the new RAM and new PSU and when I turned the PC on, nothing appeared on screen, but the computer had a long beep, followed by 2 short beeps. According to the mobo manual troubleshooter, this is a graphics/monitor error.

So earlier on, I took out the new PSU and put in the old one, and guess what? Same beep occured, with a blank screen. Anyone any ideas?

If I had hair, I'd be pulling it out right now

    NorthQ is a horrible brand.

Could be a few things, you sure you hooked all the connections back up? Did you Electro-static discharge yourself when you did it? Have you tried re-seating the graphics card?

    Remember the days gone by.

Ive checked all connections, tried refitting the graphics card and even switched to the other PCI-Ex slot... still no change.

Are there any issues with changing a PSU in an existing PC that I don't know/should have known about?
