Legs Waxed

I had my legs waxed for the first time recently which was grand not as painful as others had told me, the problem now is that lovely smoothness is finished with and I am riddled with ingrown hairs which are really itchy. I had been exfoliating every day so that this wouldn't happen but it didn't work obviously.
Am currently trying to undo them one by one with a really pointy eyebrow tweezers but there has to be a better way?
Has anyone else had this problem after waxing, and can I go back to have them waxed again even though the ingrown hairs are there (I've probably missed a few).
    Any advice is welcome, thanks.

Probably more a Fashion & Appearance problem than PI tbh... But I waxed my upper lip for the first time last week.. Didn't really need it but was bored and felt like doing something new... And now my upper lip is full of little red spots.. Bad news that wax stuff if you ask me.. And now I'm gonna have to keep doing it or I'll have a ronney :o

I don't wax myself, I have a Mach 3 for shaving. result is soooooo smooth, much better than thw female razors. Sure, shaving is a pain in the arse but the things we do for vanity :)

For anyone using a female razor I recommend getting a Mach 3 to 'feel' the difference.

never waxed myself, i'm terrified of it tbh. But the hairs on my legs grow super fast...ie, if i shaved in the morning, i have stubble that evening...maybe its just the razor i'm using though. I can see too when its growing back that i have 2 hairs coming out right on top of eachother most of the time (ie. for every hair - there's 2!)...

Epilators are the way to go.

I reckon he notices as leg hair makes the razor go blunt really quickly and on something as angular as a chin, you notice the loss of sharpness.

    I can't believe that's my 7000 post!

Ive had this problem with ingrown hairs but its from waxing my bikini line. They are a total nightmare and are so bloody sore but the only way (that i know of) to get rid of them is

    1) exfoliate
    2) moisturise
    3) Pick them out one by one

It will keep happening but you can get waxed again, just tell whoever is waxing you about the problem but it should be fine - they've never said anything to me about them. They will probably try and sell you some cream or gel that prevents ingrown hairs at some astonishingly high price - if they are really annoying you though then why not try some?
And let me know if it works!

    What????????
Why would you wax if you don't have a tache Xzanti????????????????
Thankfully I'm not hairy but it freaks me out when I see some of my mates wax their top lips when they don't have any hair there to start with!!!!!!!!

    I use Tend Skin http://www.hqhair.com/code/products.asp?PageID=129&FeaturedID=1210&FeaturedProduct=1000&pID=2

It works wonders - smells a bit like surgical spirit - but does exactly what it says on the tin

People with sensitive skin will be prone to little spots....but I second Tend Skin. Make sure the person waxing you is doing in the direction of the hair growth.:)

Damn! what is girl's leg hair made of? fuse wire or summat? My g/f was costing me a fortune in Mach 3 blades - I have to hide my good blades in my Gym bag :D
Then when I finish with a blade - I wash it and put it back in the holder and g/f doesn't notice the difference - even when they're too blunt for your face the Mach3 do a lovely job on your shins so I'm told...

No wonder my mach 3 was getting wrecked so quickly

Really buy your own mach3 if you feel the need to use one, don't use other peoples.

I also use Mach 3, hairs on my leg also grow V fast, but Mach 3 makes it last longer, defo recommend.

Also recommend Tend Skin. Use it for the bikini line & it's excellent.
Does stink a bit, but hey, it's better than ingrown hairs.
    I buy it on eBay.

There are lots of different creams for ingrown hairs on the market. Have a look around, some of them are pricey but the best one I found cost a euro in a eurosaver shop! It smells lovely and is quite soothing.

Tend Skin is over priced, imo.

The creams seem to bring the hairs up to the surface, if that makes any sense... so when you exfoliate you are really getting results.

    Thanks for the replies :)

Got some stuff in boots but am going through it really fast, will have to wait a few days for results I suppose. Don't really want to go back to shaving because its just so nice having really smooth legs for longer after waxing, but I do agree mens razors are much better.
I'm also trying the exfoliate and taking them out one by one as well, hadn't been moisturising much though so I'll give that a go too.
