What to get for D70s?

I'm hoping to purchase the Nikon D70s for a special present for my hubby, I will have about $1,600 to spend - what are the essentials that I need to get him? I'm also wondeering what type of Lens I should consider buying.

I'm travelling to the US in the next few weeks and hope to purchase there.
He has always used a Nikon but he never had a DSLR. His main use of the camera would be at socer/rugby matches (soem under floodlights), hillwalking, landscapes, nature in general and of course family pictures.

Also, what type/make/size of memory card should I go for?

Finally, is it worth my while purchasing in the US?

This place does nice deals on Nikons and lenses. The 80-400 thats in that package ties in nicely with the sports photogrpahy. Personally Id go for the Nikon 80-400VR

but its a bit pricer(Come in bout 800+).
Id say your looking for 2 lens standard wide zoom and something that can go 300+ for the sports while keeping a decent aperture.

Lucky husband. I agree with master there with his choice.

If he is interested more in landscape and family photographs then the standard 18-70mm would be a better choice. Its a quality lens which goes great with the D70s

Of couse he'll also need a couple of compact flash cards, maybe two 2GB sandisk cards and a lowpro bag to carry it all around in.
