Fedex - Delivery service of ebay items

    Hi folk, i bought something in america through ebay.com. Its being delivered through "FEDEX" and the ebay lad gave me a tracking number. Its tracked to Dublin and the latest status is "Incorrect Address" and it says something suggesting I pick it up. Well i paid $129dollars for delivery so i expect it to be delivered. :rolleyes:
    Has anyone used Fedex before. Its the correct address as i assume the american seller used my ebay address and credit card address which are the same obviously and also i emailed the seller my address so he has it correct.

    Sounds to me like FEDEX couldnt be bothered trying to deliver to me as i live in the sticks. They didnt fone me either. What do i do now? Anyone used Fedex? Where4 are there pick-up points,,, is there 1 in Drogheda, i aint driving to Dublin.

    Thats strange, I used Fedex all the time when I lived in Ireland and I lived in a tiny, backward town in the middle of nowhere. They should attempt to deliver it again (I think they try 3 times) and then you will have to pick it up from the nearest depot. There is probably one fairly close to you.

    hehe fedex is one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) courier and parcel delivery company in the world.
    Ive used them lots and they are great.
    Especially if you live in the states.

    They just dont have your address on file.
    Did you try actually ringing them?
    explain where you are and they might deliver it to you...

    Ill fone them, thanks for the number. Theie offices/fones are shut all day sat+suns. Ill ring monday. i`d say it`ll be alright once i confirm my address. Their tracking system is class, loads of updates and it didnt take too long to get from the states ti Ireland, im amazed it only took 3-4days. I wasnt bad mouthing them just wondering why they didnt try deliver/fone me.
    Ill update ye when i ring them monday.

    I rang them and they had the correct address and they confirmed it. Delivered today, very pleased i am, they rang me back and all when they said they would. Package arrived safely. :)
