It's a multiplier. It just makes the next mornings hangover worse!
Trust me I've just finished the Leaving Cert, I've tried it.

What the??? How did you guys post before i submitted the thread??? haha. Apologies. I was sorting out a poll???

it works for me, but only if you just drink a few. otherwise you'll be worse the next morning.
i tend to leave it until after nine at night to drink the cure.
suffering all day keeps me from turning into a complete alcoholic.

i do know a few people who will drink as soon as they wake up after a night on the piss. i tried it once and just couldn't finish the first drink.

Ive tried once, and it got me back to hugging the toilet. I usually stay away from the drink for a few days out of fear :S.

I drank a good few cans one night, I woke up the next morning and was thirsty so I necked off a can, but by God within the next 15minutes I mean to say I was fcukin mouldy:D

It does work.. but it's really just a way of postponing the hangover.

it works but it inevitably ends up in another session :p

Would rather get the feeling of sickness out of me rather than consuming more of the stuff. Thinking about alcohol the night after makes me feel queezy, i couldn't even dream of taking a drink.......besides i'd just feel like some sort of alcho!

Went on a college trip with a most vicious hangover once - the first part of the trip was to a brewery and we each got a free drink - didn't make things better though. :(

I've seen my buddy in the throws of an absinthe hangover and it looked disgusting altogether. he couldn't even move and he's not one to play up how bad it is. I opened a can and his face twisted and he just got sick off the side of the bed. He missed out on £50 pre-paid worth of paintball too. Great crack :)

I dont believe hair of the dog works. The only thing for a hangover is a greasy fry. Eat it up and if you keep it down great, if you throw it up, great, either way hangover is gone!

Of course you could by pass the hangover altogether with a pint of water before sleepies, works I tell thee!!! :D

It does work and for me it's not a way of postponing the hangover. I do it almost every weekend and it cures me great

I'm a greasy fry up guy myself. It always settles the ol tummy.

And about 2,000 hours in bed.

    IT'S ALL IN THE MIND!!!!!

    Bare with me on this.

I and most likely the vast majority of folk here would probably go out on a saturday night. Now when i wake up sunday morning i'm dying with the hangover, dehydrated and very tired most of sunday day. You probably know the feeling. Therefore i dont wanna go near a pint plus i like most of you have to consider work the following morning.

Now here's the other side to it.
If you're away on a weekend, lets say a stag or hen party or whatever we go out on the friday night get well pissed and wake up feeling groggy the next morning but yet we will more and likely go out all day saturday right through till the early hours of sunday morning and it will be no bother at all. So what i'm saying is, for me it's all in your mind depending on circumstances.

    Make sense anyone?

that reads to me that the cure is just more drink. But I will agree that when your up for it your up for it

I'd say this an extension of that whole "some days I can drink 15 pints, some days 5" thing?

Sometimes though, days long benders just got to be done!

Yeah thats exactly what i'm saying, when we are in the frame of mind ( like being away on a stag weekend for example) we can drink beer the next day no bother. But on the normal saturday night you won't touch one the next day. Like you say it depends "if your up for it"

No it doesn't work for me, I just drink loads of water and I mean LOADS!!! Also I don't go near food until 5-6 that afternoon, otherwise it just ends up with my head in the loo.
