No idea how it happened but i managed to D/L the whole thing in about 40 minutes...

It's excellent, single player is very good, with a nice soundtrack (I need more Cow-bell ;))
Live matches are pretty frenetic but suffered a bit from lag, hopefully they'l get this sorted out.

I'm pleasantly surprised; it was on my radar, but I (foolishly) had it pegged as just another FPS. Strongly considering a buy :)

I think I prefer the PC version. It runs a lot better and smoother on my laptop than on the 360... plus the loading times seem longer here too.

The AI doesn't seem as good either.

I know what version I'll be getting.

I know what version I'll be getting.

Neither for me, its just another unreal engine generic shooter, like quake or doom, nothing new. :(

Ah.. the portal stuff is interesting.. but I reckon it could get pretty boring fairly quickly.

Still, I enjoyed the demo a good bit.. I haven't in enjoyed an FPS for a long time now.

after trying it a lil bit I think I prefer the pc version even tho my laptop doesnt run it at full settings, theres something I cant quite put my hands on but I just think it looks and feels better on the pc for some reason. I thought hte weapons looked a lil different on the 360 version, less lighting or something 'looked more consoleish' and some of the textures didnt look as good, also I thought it seemed as if there was a performance hit at times.. particularly the bar scene at the start if you spin around it seemed to be 'jittery' wheras the pc version was smooth and the gfx card in my laptop is no beast its only an atiX1400 with 256mb of shared memory so I have to say im a bit dissapointed with the performance of Prey on the 360, it shud easily match the pc version at full settings if not better it.

My laptop has a GeForce 6800 Ultra in it and it looks much better than the 360 version.

The frame rate is no where near as good on the 360, and yes... the weapons do look different, less organic on the 360. The scope on the PC version is this cool appendage that extends out and onto your eye, that doesn't come across at all on the 360.

I hadn't taken much notice of this game, I tend not to like futuristic action FPS type games, but I was really impressed with some of the things they've done with portals and gravity and generally twisting the laws of physics to give situations different to any other game of this type.

Still not a big fan of the overall style but the gameplay is good, I might be tempted to get it at some stage.

very impressed with the demo and i'll be picking this game up for the single player side of it even though the multiplayer is good .

love the way you have to hit the target to turn the room on it's side , very impressive demo.

the scope thingy is in it :o The little organic thing shoots out onto your eye. Hard to notice it really though. Only a demo I guess.

Are you running ur 360 through a HD tv?! Framerate is the only difference I notice, I'm sure it'll be cleaned up on the actual release tho.

Have to say I was very impressed. They've done alot more with the Doom engine then Doom 3 did.

have a 360 and the pc hooked up to my dell monitor and playing both demos at the same res the pc version is better - seems smoother and more responsive

Earlier someone mentioned theres just something different about the 360 version and something ive noticed about 360 games is the field of vision just seems a bit different and turning your head either side to side or up and down is like you're attached to the outside of a sphere - hard to explain... but the perspective changes as you look around - something that doesnt happen with the pc version
