Citroen C2 seat problems.

Herselves left her Citroen C2 back to the garage to get the two front seats looked at, on lowering them to have 40 winks, as you do, they refuse to go back to the upright position on their own, they have to be propped up with something. The dealer says their nackered, replacment cost 900 euro's. This is a two year old car, a couple of months outside the warrenty. Now these seats have not been abused, no hanky panky, not lowered every day, just occasionally on her lunch break. I'm amazed that they can break so easily. Anyone else had problems with citroen seats? We are considering not getting the job done and trading the car in, would a dealer reduce the trade in value much for dodgy seats. She checked on line and a value of 10 1/2 was given for an 04 C2 although privately they seem to go for over 12, any thoughts?

I has a 1.4 VTR last february, and struggled to get €11,000 for it. They're not even as practical as the C1, so nobody wants them now.
