Digital Voice recorders

    Ok i'm looking to buy a digital voice recorder than i can plug into my mac to transfere recordinga cross. I know the Ipod can do it with an adaptor but i'm looking to spend as little as possible ;)

    If you want to go really cheap then why not buy a cassette recorder walkman type thing and then import in real time with an audio cable?

    yeah i suppose i could do it that way. Just thought there might be something like an olympus digital dictaphone.

    If i went a bit further with the money what would you recommend?

    Not sure to be honest, I'd like something good myself if I had the money.

    Do you have a small microphone? Does it have it's own power source? Do you need something to be importable via USB or do you not mind spinning it out from the audio jack?

    I have a small micro phone and i would like to import via USB, audio jack is a bit time consuming as it would be an hour at a time possibly 3 hours.
