Been twice and going back in 4 weeks.. I love the place.. a lot of people hate it thought tbh... Depends on what kind of holiday you're after.. It's kind of a poor mans Ibiza tbh.. Great for a clubbing holiday and quite cheap...

Best club is definately Tramps.. Doesn't really get going till about 4am but theres a strip of bars to keep you occupied till then.. Theres a club called "Sound of Cream" which has no affiliation whatsoever with Cream the superclub so don't be fooled.. It's a bit like the cript in the Temple Theatre.. Lots of dodgy looking people out of their heads and very dingy... I won't be going into it this year anyway :rolleyes:

Weather this time of year is fabulous... Food is your standard issue spanish resort munch so don't be expecting anything special... Have you booked or are you just checking the place out??

Can't really think of anywhere to tell you to avoid tbh... I'm sure there are dodgy places, no doubt about it but I think we've been lucky so far (touch wood).. Just obviously avoid dark lonely places at night... The "lucky lucky" men can be a bit of a pain in the a*se, these are the guys with the bling bling and the fake designer handbags... Just show no interest and they'll leave you alone... Don't encourage them.. Unless of course you actually want to buy something off them...

There are lots of day excusions ect.. If you're climbing Mount Teide bring a jacket.. It's freezing up there.. There'a a fairly decent water park not far from Las Americas and wildlife parks etc...

If you haven't booked yet.. go for a 3 key apartment or up.. well worth the extra few quid.. 2 key are sh*te basically...

Stayed right in the heart of it. Literally 30 seconds from the beach. I was 18 at the time and I found the place a ****e hole! Just really had to get drunk quick to enjoy myself. Needless to say it was full of our neighbours who a lot of them dont take well to our kind. We silenced them by walking past the pool one day with our hurleys!!
Cream have big nights and some of the top dj's play there.

Yeah I can't deny it does have sh*t hole qualities about it... Just don't be expecting Barbados and keep your wits about you.. It's grand for a good knees up... But I won't be having my hunnymoon there put it that way

Just back 1 week from it. Loved it! Stayed in a 2 key apartment and found it grand. Best bars are Yates, Down Under, Mett Bar, Linekers and Tramps. Dont go to tramps till 3 am as all the bars start emptying then and they all head there then. Make sure to go to the foam party in San Miguel, tickets are 40 euro, its great

San Miguel - did you have to go by bus? Because the foam party I went to was a bit away but great craic! The semi-naked ladies jousting was funny!
