getting kicked every 2nd time

ive had bf2 since it came out i got some trouble with the 1.3 patch so i uninstalled everything bf2 related and started again
now wehn i start up game all is well about 50% of the time the map loads up game starts and i play..........then if i disconnect from that server or there is a map change i get kicked with the message that i have a modified version of bf2 that the server does not run modified versions of bf2 this happens at the join game point just after map is loaded

is this happening to everyone since 1.3 ive noticed lesspeople playing bf2 every day?

The patch you got is corrupt and im guessing its ObjectsClient.zip (the 700mb) file thats corrupt and causing that. Causes other things too like PB fails, sometimes the patch says its done but its not.


I had something similiar before got the patch from gamershell and it worked 1st time never been kicked since. Reinstall with full 1.3 patch from somewere not EA.

got the pacth from ea downloader and again from largedownloads.ea or something..........what links have u got to download it, i was going to try using ea downloader again ( when i downloaded full patch 483 mb i think ntl were having packet loss this is why i tried from different source last night

still getting kicked at map change it only works if i reboot and the 1st server i connect to will work but at map change i get booted for having a modified version...........downloaded the file from gamer shell ealargedownloads and ea downloader

I'm sorry that it isn't helping but reinstalling the patch is the only solution I'm afraid.

You could try turning off anti-virus and spyware as you install as it's worked for others.

Connecting to servers without the green TV icon in the server browser will mean that you won't get kicked at map change.

I hadnt played in a month and it took 4 minutes in game to fully update....luckily i just hid in a corner

get this i bought the bf2 deluxe pack with special forces..... both of which i already had ,i uninstalled my bf2 and installed the dvd with bf2 and sf on it patched it and thought to my self ill rebot for good measure loade
d up game picked server all goin fine still.....played game till map change.....then same problem u were kicked from sever as it does not allow modified content!!!!!!!!
NOW AT THIS POINT I UNINSTALLED MY ORIGINAL GAME 3 TIMES....PACTCHED aLSO FROM 3 DIFFERENT SOURCES
got rid of my anti virus software turned of firewall
updated punkbuster manually
bought new disk and repeated process...........still same problem

sometimes i get and entire system crash during the load up of game and sometimes during game
at this point a blue screen with white text comes up(not long enough to read it) it says something about begining dump of physical memory then reboots


i have zero hour dawn of war and age of empires 3 all on same pc and they work fine
although this complete system crash seems to be spreading to other games also although this has occured only once or twice on age of empires nothing like the 2-3 times a day on bf2


i ran full anti V check too

any thoughts on this......am i cursed no technology i ever buy works str8 away a friend once suggested i have an electric field around me that messes games machines and pc's up

wierdest thing is if i load game from just turning on the pc it works fine till map change

Gotta love the Curse of Bf2 :mad: .Lucky enough i aint had 2 many problems of late (touch wood)

1 last try.................i went to a system restore point just after i got my system last month, then i installed the game from the new disk i bought (bf2 delux) tried it without patch didnt connect to server then i patched conneted to server no problem map changed no problem ...........next i tried to change server bang kicked "server does not allow player with modified bf2 please revert to original bf2"............still i soilder on i uninstall the game and all its bits an pieces reinstall patch it..........same problem!

(during all this i checked and updated all driver for graphics cards etc just incase this could be problem)

after all this the only solution i can come up with is wait till 1.4 patch is out!

id go back to bfv only i lost the manual with serial key on back of it!.......is it easy enough to get another key legitematley

problem solved.......wimpy 400w powewr supply not strong enough for all bits in my pc and my 2gig ram consist of 4 512mb ddr400 ( power drain) two 1 gig matched would be better and my hard drive on a uptodate board is ide which didnt help things either
i got an engineer to look at my pc and he got it working depiste the poor hardware config
