I have my inkjet cartridges for my Canon IP 5000 refilled regularly at Cartridge World. By the by Canon cartridges are the cheapest to be refilled and you get the best quality print with Canon refills.

    Try Cartidge monkey www.cartridgemonkey.com

They don't charge postage, and are fairly quick with posting.

    Also try http://www.7dayshop.com

Although these sell cheap compatibles, they don't seem to last as long.http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/images/smilies/smile.gif

Am I right in thinking that inkjet.ie are not selling manufacturer's ink?

I use an Epson R2400. Will I notice any difference?

Who's the cheapest for Epson inks?

    Thanks.

    D.

An epson R2400 , more or less a pro level printer for photos , do not use third party inks in that printer .......third party inks are ok for the odd printout , they dont work for photos and never have , and you take the risk of ruining that printer with third party inks , I know , it happened to me.

If your a photographer , forget about refills and only buy original inks. Results are brutal off cheap refills.

Plus with the refills you void your warranty because the printers are not tested on the third party inks. Refills can be hit and miss but are good if all you’re doing is text and your not worried about how it looks.

Thank you very much to both of you for the advice.

Yes, I am a professional photographer. But, 99.9% of my work is for web and offset printing, so I never use the R2400, fabulous though it is. Hence my need to know about inks.

    That begs my next question........

If I have to use Epson inks, who's the cheapest?

    Many thanks.

    D.

Guys, thinking of starting one of these shops in our premises on Talbot street. Probably looking for a franchise or something. Anyone know who would be the cheapest one to 'get into bed with' so to speak?

I dont think there is anyone doing this in the local area? Could be wrong though!
