    We're happy to report that on 7th July Massimo Sex D'Electro will be fleeing World Cup finals madness in his native Berlin and heading to Capel Street for his Irish debut with us at Boxed.

    A young Massimo Battaglini used to sell his own mix-tapes in 80's Berlin schoolyards. More recently he's been distributing music through his Berlin based label Electrobot Records as-well as his radio show on TWEN FM and in club Maria where he hosts Berlin's biggest electro partyseries, sElectrotechnik.

    His own production skills came to the fore in the 90s when he started the electro trio FeldstSrke Einxz, releasing two EPs and playing alongside names such as Miss Kitten and T.Raumschmiere. He has since gone solo and has just recently released his 6-track debut solo EP 'Berlin Hustler' on his own label as-well as collaborations on Dr.Lektroluv's Belgian label Lektroluv.

    Having heard Massimo's sets first hand in his native city and having familiarised ourselves with his catalogue, we are very excited about this visit which is also Boxed's first overseas guest. Simon Barry also joins us from Cork where he spends most Friday nights spinning funky, driving electro at the great Innercity parties at Fast Eddie's.

    So get yourself along, do the robo rhumba and then leave in an orderly, systematic fashion.
