    Adamstown is a huge development. I reckon that they will trial it there and then quickly release it to other BB enabled areas.

    It is easier to do VoIP then either PVR's or HD. Sure many NTL BB customers are already using VoIP on it from blueface.

    I'd say it is a matter of low hanging fruit.

    Agreed, VoIP is neither expensive or difficult to setup. All UPC needs to do is setup a few dedicated servers at the headends with Linux and Asterisk. As for PVRs, these are just as simple. You could just use a Dreambox with a DVBC tuner and a NagraVision CAM. The catch is that the Nagracard is tied to the box and presumably will need the boxes serial or the BoxSerial (which may or may not be on the engineering screens) to work. From what I know Dreamboxes with DVBS tuners have been made to work with Sky.
