Perhaps a bit easier to use - MediaCoder will do the job.

RealPlayer is the devil. I commend you for converting the media.

Realplayer is the WORST media player I have EVER used....use Real Alternative!

As a format....RMVB is really really nice....a great video compressor.

Not sure about the audio....but almost all players support WMA and the default is MP3...not much room for real media audio!

RMVB is infected with the RealPlayer disease, it's like Hep for media.

Not defending Real's actions but that's a bit over the top & it is still a good technology and was very popular for encoding at low bit rates and particularly with encoding animated content but H.264 has taken that crown now (in both areas) but Real are believed to be prepping their own H.264 encoder.

What Real did was make a mistake with the they way they handled their player & how it installed. There employees owned up to that on Doom9 and set about changing it and it is better now perhaps not as straight forward as it was back in the day but still a marked improvement.

Apple's QuickTime or CrapTime as it is amusingly referred to is the only player that still causes me grief as QT just sucks under Windows with it's general unreliability but is used commonly enough on the web for it needed to be installed.
