    Hi,

Does anyone know a way of returning the amount of free space in a shell script in w2k?

    Thanks

I've used a small program called FREE to do this but I don't know if you'll be able to make use of the data it outputs.

    ftp://ftp.demon.co.uk/pub/simtelnet/msdos/diskutil/dfree36a.zip

IMHO your way of grepping the DIR output is better.
