these things take time, it has to mutate yet, maybe next winter, if we're lucky, or is that unlucky.

BIrd-flu was a media-driven event in Europe. As soon as the media moved on we weren't all going to die anymore.

Still though, 40 people died in Indonesia a couple of days ago and has killed 130 in all but it hasn't mutated into somethng that will pass from human to human yet but it's expected to.

US news reported on it very heavily too.

Lets save a few thousand people here, and kill a few thousand there, civilisation as we know it sucks, its alright for us to kill each other, but when mother nature finds a way to keep our numbers down, we try everything in our power to stop it.

If you have irrefutable evidence of that, you should go over and smash the hopes and dreams of everyone in the conspiracy theory forum.

What about the Lost Civilisation of Atlantis, now, there,........if civilisation is what we(the world) do then, when someone says to you, thats not very civil when you do something bad/wrong, then its bs.

History! People kill each other and always have. The scale increased and decreased that's all.
Most conspiracy theories fail becasue they require good organisation which seems to be impossible.

Take it easy MorningStar, you don't need to pick on every little thing and make it into a debate.

the media just blew it way out of proportion!! but its still a threat.....
there was a report somewhere that they believed it had mutated into a form that could spread human to human in asia somwhere?! the doctors thought a boy had caught it and it mutated and he passed it onto his father but the mutated form died with the father before it could be passed on to anyone else!!

It's true though that if it does mutate (doctors usually say "when" and not "if") and does spread, then it probably will kill tens of thousands and lead to people changing their way of life/travel until a cure is found.

It seemed to disappear the second it hit English shores

The papers before it came to England:

"ARGGG it's coming.... arrrgggg... it might come to ENGLAND... arg.... it's moving across Europe... ARGGG"

With daily bulletins with pictures of swans and geese migrating and detailed diagrams with a cartoon duck flying west out of Turkey and killing everyone

The papers after it came to England:

    "Look bird flu... o well"

It sure sold a lot of useless anti-viral drugs though. Would have liked to be in on that action. /rubs chin.
