Wet rooms

I am putting in a new shower room in the attic and because of the slopey roof, a shower cubicle might not be an option.
    So I'm considering a wet-room.
    Someone posted this http://www.dunlop-adhesives.co.uk/bal/main/pdfs/fixing_guide.pdf
a while back and page 11 shows all the waterproofing layers for a wet-room. The diagram shows it all on a nice concrete base and they mention in the smallprint to add a layer of polyester matting if the base is timber.
Has anyone ever put a wet-room on a timber floor supported by timber joists?
I would be interested in any tips and to know how it worked out for you.
    Thanks in advance.
