    Hey,

Anybody know the name of the stringed instrument shop in Drumcondra? I'm in the market for a new bass. I believe they have a website.

    Cheers

PM'd you there a while ago but just to say to anyone else wondering I would fully recommend Crehans as the only worthy place to buy double basses in Ireland! Buy one in any other shop and chances are it will go out of tune alot alot, depending on how much it cost ya...

I've heard good things about Thomann's higher end basses.

I got the bass and it's a beauty. Staff there are great. Now all I have to do is learn to play all over again. Time to take things real slow.

How much would you expect to pay for a half-decent bass in there?

I payed €1500 for a very good student bass but I think they start at €1200. I got a bow and case with it. And they're all handmade. ( Not in Ireland though).

Reminded me of a medieval armory except with instruments.
