    Hi,

    I booted up my machine today with a ghost disk and then the machine (Laptop) lost power.

    Now when i startup i get the error message:

    STOP: c0000221 {Bad Image Checksum}
    The image cryptui.dll is possibly corrupt. The header checksum does not match the computed checksum.

    Anyone have an idea's? I read that i could replace the user32.dll file with one from the web - I managed to boot into NTFSDOS but it wont allow me overwrite this file - it says Access Denied.

    Thanks if you can help!

    K

    not sure if thats the fix but u may as well give it a shot, when in DOS looks like u will have to take the 'read only ' attribute off the file, i wouldnt overwrite it though, just rename it as u will be able to revert back to it if needs be.

    looked at that already - the file i want to copy onto the machine isn't read only. I also attempted to copy it into the root directory and was given the same error...

    never did that - but if i cant copy the file onto the root - then i doubt it'll make a difference at this stage..
