Any psychics in the house?

I'm constantly experiencing psychic behaviour. I always think of random things, then they happen, or know wha people are thinkin about, or one day I'll think of something I havent seen in like 5 years, then ill see it

Now this is what i thought the deja vu post was about. Did Aircorp "see" this thread was going to start?

Anyway I have little or know experience with precognition, just doesnt seem to be my thing. More Claireaudient, Clairevoyent & Clairesentient myself.

I think a lot of us here will be familiar with what you are talking about, I have stuff like that happen, say you pick up the phone and you already know who is on it, etc. Although like 6th precognition is not my thing, and not something I particularly want to do.

Did anyone see the deature on the Final Destination DVD about Psychics? It was really good

I get flashes of it, it can be anoying and makes me feel disjointed and out of synch when it happens.

You're experiencing your 3rd eye "opening" in my opinion, the examples you give show you have Telepathic gifts. Telepathy is mind-to-mind communication, usually happens spontaneously but by developing your Psychic talents you can focus this ability and use it in more specific ways. Try concentrating on someone you know, send them a "mental message" to get them to phone. Deep breathing, yoga, meditation etc. will help you develop but don't expect instant results. The ability to foresee the future is called Precognition or Clairvoyance and being able to connect with the Spirit world makes you what's commonly called a "Medium". It's a natural energy, a talent like music. Once you have the ability and desire to develop it you'll succeed

There are pyschic schools out there to learn how to open and train your abilities very expensive though. I am currently waiting on books I ordered from Amazon on How to develope psychic abilities. they even had a book called "How to contact Spirits for dummies" seems its becoming a more acceptable gift to have.:D

I experience the same thing, I randomly think of someone when after a while I would bump into them on the street, or I would get a song into my head and when i turn on the radio I would then hear it playing.

Why not attribute such meaning to all the thousands of thoughts that don't make it to coincidence-ville. If you want to see coincidence's in action, take up poker and read the bad beats threads.

There was one experience that happened less than 1 minute later

I was at the Square in Tallaght, in the van with my Dad. Theres 2 roundabouts, u go through one, then theres another about 8M away

Anyway, comin up to the first one, I had a feeling that someone was goin to just go through the wrong way, without goin around, as the road wasnt busy at all

So, it didnt happen, but at the 2nd one, a pizza guy came speeding down, and went through, instead of around, and nearly hit us

That freaked me out

Understanding spacetime and how echoes from the future can reach us is complex and simple. Probabilities are acted out in imaginary areas of our brains, sometimes jump-started by real events that are about to happen at varying removes into the future (time isn't a distance, it's a direction). One of these is practically guaranteed to become part of our conscious reality and that is when we realise we've predicted them. It's definitely a gift, and science is coming close to describing its nature already.

Any quantum physicists want to apply the numbers, here?

Ahhhhhh right...now I get it...quantum physics.

That's the second time this particular explaination has helped me out. When those two biddies were on the late late show explaining how angels started to appear to them, one of them blurted out the "It's quantum physics!" chestnut.

They also explained how they were at a very low point in their life and were just about to despair before the angels came along and helped them out...hmmmm.

Have you any scientific references to back up your remark. My understanding is that one of the things science is getting clearer about is the unpredictability of it all.

Spot on, the seat of intuition ( telepathy, clairvoyance etc) is in the right brain, the Pineal Gland is what's usually called the 3rd eye.

I'd agree with both of you. I do feel disjointed and out of synch when it happens and it is quite annoying. I think though that my annoyance stems from the fact that it is so disorientating and confusing at the time, when a situation that you've already seen begins to play out in front of your eyes, that it's of absolutely no practical benefit.

The one exception I have to this is that I used to play quite a lot of handball and sometimes when I'd get really into a game I'd 'know' what my opponent was going to do and be moving into position long before they'd make their shot. I would dismiss this as experience and knowledge of the game, but I was quite often able to predict mis-hits aswell.

I'm hoping that with practice and training that I'll be able to focus better and make some use out of this ability, altough there is a potential pitfall in that the harder you try to make use of it, or if you try to force it, it doesn't help at all. When I first accepted that all of this is possible, I naturally wanted to be able to do everything right away, and got a little frustrated that I couldn't. This pretty much switched off what ever ability I may have. Lately I've come to be more relaxed about it, and I can accept that I'll never be able to predict the lotto numbers, and even more importantly I feel that even if I could, it wouldn't be all that important anyway, and it does seem to be slowly switching itself back on.


A quick question of my own, I tend to find things like this quite hard to remember afterwards, they fade away quickly, almost like a dream. Anyone else notice this ? (my memory is pretty bad anyway, so it may just be me)

this doesnt happen really anymore to me, but a few years ago i used to swear I'd hear my wife arriving home and coming in the door - then when I'd get to the front door and look out, she'd literally just pulling into the drive.

Over the last year, every now and then (maybe once a week, or once a fortnight) Id be doing normal, everyday things and Id suddenly get an instinctive thought that ive either done this exact thing before, experienced it or thought the same thoughts. Its hard to explain, but its wierd (and annoying!)

But yeah, sometimes I feel I can predict things. Like, I would be thinking of an episode of the Simpsons I havent seen in a while, or quote a line from it (or another show) and sure enough, that episode would be on TV that tonight...!

I get these on occasion.
The last was in a dream.
Just before I awoke, somebody told me "Sandy had just died."
When I get these sensations, it's not so much a dream as it is hearing the message while in a close to waking state, whispered in my ear.

Well, I woke up and thought "Wow! How awful! Which Sandy? I know four!!"
I wasn't sure if I ought to call each of them and see if they were all right!
An hour later, my dad sent me an E-mail saying his cousin Sandy had passed away that morning!

This is not the first, just the most recent occurrence. I always heed such warnings - even though they can be vague.
