I remember these throughout my growing-up-years in Belfast. They were as much a target of thugs (whatever flag they pretend to live under) as were RUC Landrovers

As the BBC say "The bus that once symbolised public transport in Northern Ireland is being retired after four decades"

There has been one showing up at the Terenure show for the past two years - have to say it's my favourite item at the show.

There were 2 at Mosney, on a similar note I know a guy who bought an ex British Army Humber Pig, he had to paint it in UN white after receiving some dodgy comments about it:rolleyes:

Tell me about it! When I was 8 I smashed the side window of a 'blue bus' just like that one as I came home from school one day. Also saw many a burnt out one on the roads too. We used to collect the big blobs of aluminium that were left behind.

(In my heyday I also managed to put a nice crack in the plastic side window shield of an RUC LandRover too - they were obviously not designed to withstand tiny kids armed with nuts and bolts out on their lunch break:rolleyes:)
