STT stacks / blinds speed

How do you determine whether a STT tournament is too slow or too fast?

I have a feeling about our home game about this, but am unsure whether its right or not. From the last 21 STTs I calculated that at the time we enter bubble play, on average, the average stack size per player is 14.9 BBs. This is usually when three players remain since mostly two get paid. Is 14.9 BBs good / much / little / or can you not say anything about it since it depends on how tight the players are?

If its a 'friendly' home game with people who aren't regular live/online players then it sounds just about perfect.
If you are too deepstacked thens its just boring for the people who are out and it turns then off the game.
If you are too shortstacked then obv its a crapshoot.
15BB average (which could translate as one player 25BB, one 15BB, one 5BB) allows some semblance of play.

If however its a table where everyone knows the intricacies of the game, and isnt going to object to the bubble lasting 30minutes and the final another 30minutes, then you could have deeper stacks.

Its a tough one really - I have home games with 5or6 mates who love the game, but think my STT structure is too deep stacked - It starts with 30BB !

On average, we get 7 players (ranging from 4 to 10).

In our home-game the starting stacks are 125 BBs.

This is perfect IMO, I'm just not sure about the speed of which blind levels go up.
