Tuesdays Triers

Tuesdays Top Trier runs in the 3.15 at Beverly. With only 6 runners the usual need to be mindful of the advantage of a wide draw at Beverly can be discounted.

The improving Little Jimbob may be the fancy of many a nostalgic Waltons Fan but I am going to stick with Reilly Boys who has always run well here or to be blunt about it has never really run well anywhere else. Gone up in the weights but with RWinston steering again and the chance that his main threat may tire in the last furlong and may lack any extra va va voom coming to the close if they are together.

Golden Dixie is running in the 3.45 at Beverly, have had it my horse tracker for a while now and he won for me a few days back at a very good price. Since then he's been withdrawn from a couple of races but is entered for this one and the distance seems to suit him judging by previous form. He's 5/1 for this on Ladbrokes and will show him a bit of loyalty after he came in for me at 16/1 last time out.

Then again, I'm not that experienced to be saying its a tip and if anyone here has any thoughts on his chances today would be good, just that he's one I'm hoping will come through for me again! (have probably doomed him to be last :D )

Anyone hear anything about Serve Time in the 20.50 at Sligo ?

Backed in from 7/1 to 7/2 with most bookies and across the exchanges

Don't have any time for Irish gambles to be honest. Sure Strides of Fire was backed into 2-1 in PP yesterday. We know what happened there don't we.

There's a nag going tonight that I just hate. He's owned by a relative of mine and he owes me a fortune. I was told about him one day and I put 5 each way...he won at 14-1. That was 3 years ago.

He then had an injury and when he came back we were told to back him. He finished 5th of 16 then and got progressively worse. 2 races ago he finished 5th of 16 again, which was his best run in a long time. So after that we were told to back him. I was over in London for the Derby so we were all gathered in a London pub after backing this thing like it couldn't lose. I had my reservations but they told me they wanted it to come 5th last time....Yeah I said, I've hear that before. I put £20 on just in case. He finished last of 16.

He's out again tonight in Sligo and the walking glue stick aint getting any of my money. (He'll hack up now won't he?)

    /me shakes fist.

Off to the racing post it is then....

Windmill Flyer eh, hmm. You know if I go near it it'll probably break it's leg.

Another thing to note about this horse.

The day that it won, that warm sunny sunday back in 2003, it beat two horses that had just come off the back of two wins. Impressive eh? Well....no. Because those 2 horses, and almost every other horse in that race (including of course, our protaganist and excluding 2 out of 25) has never won a race since. Not in the 3 years since. And by Christ have they all tried. Over 300 times between them all. And he's 7-1 today.

    Ermmmm.

Have it in a E/W treble with Bollin Edward in the 4.15 and Golden Dixie in the 3.45 for a bit of interest this afternoon, so 1 up to start with :D

Don't consider myself to be an expert by a long way... Was gonna suggest Bo McGinity in the 3.45, threw some money each way on him and Golden Dixie (seperately) Bo Mcginity won, Golden dixie second :D

Well the win parts down but just need Bollin Edward to be placed for the each way part to come through.

Seems that Sizzlers favourite trainer Senor K Burke has one runner at Newbury tonight - running in the 8.00 - Dickie LeDavoir.

Someone lure Sizzler out from his cage to give some words of wisdom on this one :)
