with checking your balance and statement so easy , with banking online, and credit so easy to get, am i alone in dreading checking there account . While the media and world are blabbing on about SSIA windfalls, i'm not balancing my books too good .. and yet the banks keep throwing money at me ... keep increasing my credit limit on cards .. in this material age , i find it difficult to tighten the strings ... and yet .. i just seam to be working to pay off loans , and all types of insurance. I have the material trappings ... but seriously in debt .

Nah, student here, so my bank-account looks like this...
description debit credit
UCI (work) €100
ATM (beer) €70
UCI (work) €100
ATM (beer) €70

etc...

So it's always increasing... just, slowly :D

I avoid getting loans unless they are absolutely necessary. I used to worry about it but that doesnt do any good. I have saved up enough to use cash for most things (which isnt good because banks want you to borrow their money and build a credit rating) I wont be a slave to teh man. *shakes fist*

I suppose as Eddie would say you have to cut out the "Champagne Sepnding", and start living within your means.

AIB are into me for about 10K on my car loan... I'm chipping away at it at a rate of about €300/month. The loan will basically have cost me an extra thousand (graduate rate, woo) by the time it's paid off.
