    Is the session closed on the cd or something?

    You could try deleting whatever is in your temp folder as well;

    C:\Documents and Settings\Your username\Local Settings\Temp

    Sounds to me like you're under the impression that you can just drag and drop/save things onto a CD like you can a floppy disk/USB thumb drive. You may not be aware that this is not the case and that you need to use burning software to do this like Nero?

    Its a pdf doc that i wanted to save onto a cd in the drive, I went into File and save as and chose the appropriate drive to no success. When I went into the pdf and select "move to" and the approp drive it transferred no probs.

    I think some applications allows you to drag and drop onto CDRW discs but I dont know about CDRs

    Yes and if you open the CD in My Computer you will find the icon of the pdf file is greyed out as it's not actually on the CD it's an "item waiting to be burnt". Eject the CD and replace it in the drive and you will see it's still blank.
